Quorn Chick'N Patties Review

It’s review time!

Each time I try a product designed for healthier eating or vegetarian lifestyle, I’ll review it here so you don’t have to suffer if it’s terrible!

Quorn Meatless and Soy Free Chik’N Patties

Quorn promotes that these Patties are:

A good source of protein

Made from natural ingredients

Have 45% less fat than normal chicken patties

These look like your garden variety chicken patty with breading and are frozen. They can be prepared in the oven (preferred) or in the microwave (if you dare; they taste like caulk. Yes, window caulk; don't ask).

What are they made from?

Mycoprotein; that’s Fungi folks (34%), rehydrated egg white, enriched wheat flour (niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), canola oil, onions, textured wheat protein (wheat protein, wheat starch), Contains 2% or less of whey protein concentrate, salt, buttermilk powder, rice flour, dextrose, yeast, garlic powder, autolyzed yeast extract, tapioca starch, pectin, natural flavors from non-meat sources, sunflower oil, ascorbic acid, black and white pepper, citric acid, onion powder, gum arabic, celery seed, calcium lactate, paprika extract, lemon oil

Taste wise, they’re kind of bland. The crust reminds me of cheap chicken patties from Tyson and the filling is remotely chicken like. I seem to always need cheese or a sauce to make it enjoyable. Each Patty is 150 calories with 9g of protein and 400mg of sodium.

End result?

I’d eat these again, especially with BBQ sauce or as a sandwich. 3 out of 5 stars
