Each time I try a product designed for healthier eating or vegetarian lifestyle, I’ll review it here so you don’t have to suffer if it’s terrible!
While in Zerbo’s, a local health store, my wife convinced me to try Amazing Grass’s “Amazing Meal Chocolate Infusion” a drink additive that claims:
Amazing Meal is a powerful and satisfying blend of Green SuperFoods, plant based protein, phytonutrient rich fruits & vegetables, digestive enzymes and probiotics. The way Mother Nature intended...Organic, Raw and Delicious.
Amazing Meal Chocolate Infusion
A blend of greens, protein, fruits & vegetables infused with chocolate. It is Organic, Raw, Gluten Free, Vegan, Soy Free and Dairy free.
The package reads:
“A satisfying blend of protein and superfoods that provides amazing energy and amazing health” (No truth in advertising there…)
You can mix it with Milk, water or mix it into your favorite smoothie.
I tried water; big mistake.
I tried this to see if I could use this as a supplement to my slowly growing veg and fruit intake. It was in powder form and had a pleasant whiff of cocoa, giving me some false hope. I barely choked the stuff down. It was like a mix of dirt and sand with a weird aftertaste that was decidedly not chocolate.
This packet cost 2.19 for 1 serving. I would not recommend even looking at it much less buying it in bulk. I would rather blend some greens and eat that instead. And that’s saying a lot for a guy like me…
